Separation-Anxiety

  • Does your dog destroy your things when home alone?

  • Do your neighbours hear your dog barking when you go out?

  • Do you feel that you are trapped, afraid to leave your dog?

I get it. I’ve been there. Having a dog with separation anxiety is heartbreaking. You hate to feel that your companion is suffering, but you really want your life back!

You may well have tried other methods (I have!), but the desensitisation technique I use, taught to me by Julie Naismith, is the one that is most likely to resolve your dog’s separation problem long term.

Unlike older methods, such as those focussed on triggers (such as picking up car key) it involves observing how and when an individual dog starts to show anxiety when left alone, and then gradually increases their coping time. Once they are okay to be left for even 15 minutes, they care less about keys!

This new approach has already helped tens of thousands of dogs across the World. It is not a quick fix, but is the most effective and ethical method of training dogs to accept being home alone.

I do understand that to help your dog get over their separation anxiety can appear costly, and it will definitely require commitment from you. However, I have worked with clients who want a full package with near-daily support, as well as those who want to go-it-alone, just paying for an occasional support session to keep them on track.

It costs nothing to get in touch, yet it could be the start of giving you back your freedom - as well as giving your dog a better life.

Use the link below to arrange a £30 Zoom call (60+ minutes) to include an assessment activity which sets you up to work on desensitisation training right away. There is no commitment to sign up, and I won’t put any pressure you - it has to be a good fit for us both.
